Alter your Life

Good morning to all of our fabulous followers!
We are still doing Challenge #6 Anything Goes and we would love to have you join us!!
Today we are sharing Lisa's Canvas to get those crafty vibes going!!

Today, I am featuring the Pinque Peacock Crafty Kit Club!

Hello!  My name is Lisa and I alter things as a hobby. Many crafters look at things and see exactly what they see….me, I look at things and see what the could be.  I look at each product as a raw product, not a finished product. So the Pinque Peacock Crafty Kit Club was just for me!  I ordered the whole kit this month and love the canvases, acrylic paints, wood cut outs, feathers, and paper flowers and findings.  Those of you who follow me know that I couldn’t use them as is…, that is SO NOT ME!

So here goes:  here is what I received…..

And this is the finished product.
In addition to the paints and products in the kit, I used several inks, paints and finishes to adjust them to what I “saw” when I saw this kit.  After I finished the canvas color, I really wanted to stamp a “subway art” style finish.  I didn’t quite get there, but, I love the effect.  Again as before, on alternative objects, I have used black letterpress ink to stand out.  I used the wood cutouts of the hibiscus and butterfly and used the paper flowers, several of which I stained and layer with mini elegant florals from Pinque Peacock.

The ribbon from 3 Jam Girls I received was red…it didn’t match the pallet I had in mind….but you know what….it didn’t’ stop me from dying and glittering it.  Every item in this kit has been altered in some form.  Never stop your imagine and desire to alter!

Until Next Time~

Now are you ready to link up? We hope so because we LOVE to see everyone's amazing creations.

♥ ♥ ♥ It's All In The Hat ♥ ♥ ♥

Pinque Peacock
Good Morning my lovelies, Pinquette Mary here on this gorgeous Saturday Morning! Today I am so excited to share my Anything Goes post with you. I recently ordered some gorgeous fabric covered buttons from the Pinque Peacock Shop  and Jessica just whipped them up right in time for me to use on my projects. I just love Nanas' Pillowcase collection.
Yup, I said projects using the same base but using different embellishments to add that sense of style. Here we go......

I am fortunate enough to be able to test patterns for a doll pattern company where the designers have you test their patterns before they are released so that all the kinks are worked out and you have a well thought out pattern. When I tested this Cloche as well as a "straw" hat pattern I knew there would be a way to use the fabulous Pinque Peacock buttons in the decorative phase.

Did you know that you can specialize how you want your buttons? You can have them either with shank or no shank. The pink one on the left is without the shank so I could just glue it on the crocheted flower whereas the one on the left has the shank so I could just sew it on the raffia bow. I also used some 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon on the purple hat (I know it looks blue, but, trust me it's purple!) Yes, Jess also carries this great ribbon in the SHOP in a variety of colors.

Here is the same shank button application on the straw hat. I case you are not into dolls, this would be a great way to dress up your own beach hat for a truly distinctive look. This would be great to add a group of these buttons with some crinkle ribbon. Cool idea, huh?

Lifes A Journey

Welcome to another challenge post!
It is my day to post on the
I have decided to do a birthday card for a very special person in my life.
Here it is :)

I started with a standard heavy weight card stock and scored it so I could create the easel.
Then cut and added some print card stock from Prima and it is called free spirit.
I love the colors and prints.
Then I pulled out my Pinque Peacock Flower and pin stash. I found the perfect flower from Pinque Peacock and it is a Fabric Splendid Swirl with a center embellishment. It just went perfect with the papers.
The beautiful Pin is Pinque Peacock too of course!! It is one of the beaded stick pins. Now I don't know if Jessica can still create that exact one but she has beautiful beads and can create one of your choice!!!
All of the resin cameos and other embellishments are from Websters Pages. The trim is unknown.
I also used a piece of a doily, a cats eye ink pad and 2 wood banners. All unknown.
Life is definitely a journey and I hope you all have a fabulous one.

Pinquette Mary here with my post for Anything Goes. I chose to make a shadow box with mixed media. I guess you would say it's where Pinque Peacock and Tim Holtz meet, lol. Since June used to be the month for weddings (as a Floral Designer I can honestly say we have more Fall weddings lately) I decided to do a Love project.

I also used the fabulous 3 Girl Jam Ribbon also available in the shop. If you haven't tried this wonderful crinkle ribbon then you are really missing out on a fantastic product.
Did I mention that I also used Tim Holtz? Those are his grunge letters that are awesome with PP flowers. I have explained more on my blog on how I created this. Check it out HERE.

It's in the Bag!... Challenge inspiration by PINQUETTE Lisa

Welcome to the June Challenge!
This month, we have an "Anything Goes" theme,
soo, in keeping with "anything goes"….here goes it!

I did an altered gift bag of sorts.  I used a burlap drawstring bag and stamped it with "Faith”,  “Hope”, and “Love" stamps.  When I think of June, I naturally go to thoughts of graduation, weddings and babies….so I did this project with a wedding in mind.  I think this will make a great way to present your bridal parties with gifts, favors for a casual, outdoor wedding and perhaps even fancy enough for the bridal party to carry with, or in lieu of their bouquet.  Keep in mind, you can use canvas (I love to make use of painter’s dropcloth!) denim and almost any other stampable fabric.  The floral accent on the bag was done using a sheer fabric in a yo-yo, and cotton lace done in a yo-yo.  I added  Pinque Peacock's large Elegant Floral on top and finished it off with a natural paper and book-print accent.
I removed the drawstring and re-strung with pearl trim and small satin ribbon.  Where the strands were gathered, I added a second Elegant Floral in a smaller size with the same natural paper and book-print accent.

These Elegant Floral come in a variety of sizes colors to coordinate with any theme…and the best part, if you need to order something special just ask Jess Here.

If you would like to learn more about how I created this bag then head on over to my blog where I go into much more detail. I would love if you would be a follower as well! (I wouldn't want you to miss a thing!!!)
